Vicks – #TouchOfCare
Vicks India, one of the most trusted Indian brand has been there for decades now. In this year, they launched a very innovative and emotional digital campaign named as #TouchOfCare.
Based on a true story, the ad chronicles around the beautiful bond between the orphan girl Gayatri and a transgender woman who adopted her and raised her as her own. The campaign won a lot of accolades as it struck a chord with the emotions of its audiences. With the message the campaign conveyed, “everyone has a right to have a family with love and caring bond,” the video gained more than 9.9 million views in a short span of time.
IAPC – Last Laugh
The Indian Association of Palliative Care came up with an impeccable combination of a creative and emotional campaign named “Last Laugh”. This digital campaign received Abby Gold Award for the year 2018.
The video showed terminally ill people performing a standup comedy act for their family members. In our society, people usually hesitate while talking about death. However, this video captured a different way of dealing with a serious topic lightheartedly.
The campaign used the Palliative (end of life) care approach that helps patients to get comfortable with death and used the hashtag #LaughAtDeath, which went viral. The campaign was awarded for its integration of experiential events, creative brand image and heart-warming converses.
British Airways – Fuelled by Love
A campaign ‘Fuelled by Love’ by British Airways is about the first flight experience of a British Airways’ crew member. It shows how the crew members of the Airlines serves its guests with warmth and love. The campaign had hit the right chord with its tagline “The service is driven by efficiency and purpose; true care is fuelled by only love.”
Along with this campaign, British Airways also announced special offers for their passengers. The campaign also won an award in the USA with more than 5.4 million views.
Perhaps the most watched and familiar campaign of 2018, MakeMyTrip Zero Cancellation campaign got a big thumbs up due to the quirkiness of the idea. The brand ambassadors Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh with their deft acting skills made this campaign more relatable and amusing.
